Work, Curator, Work! Work, Curator, Work!

The three-day workshop Work, Curator, Work! with curators Tia Čiček and Maximilian Lehner is geared toward young professionals in cultural and creative fields interested in curating contemporary art or otherwise engaging with conceiving contemporary art projects. The workshop focuses on discussing current conditions and methods within cultural production. Participants will select texts for discussion, exploring the realities of exhibition concepts including finances and division of labour often overlooked in curatorial discourse. The workshop aims to expand conversations to include topics like networks, mental health, and co-working. It provides an opportunity to contribute to important discourses and rethink approaches to exhibition-making. The workshop structure includes an introductory session followed by close readings of selected texts, leading to discussions on exhibitions, collaborative work, artworks, and ideal visions for the art world. This non-hierarchical exchange is intended to foster the sharing of ideas, concerns, and knowledge among participants.
