Shady El Noshokaty is a contemporary Egyptian artist, born in Damietta City (1971). He studied at Helwan University at the Faculty of Art Education, graduating in 1994. Ever since, he is teacher of drawing, painting and media arts at the same university and at the Visual Arts Department at the American University in Cairo. He received his Phd in 2007 from Helwan University in the philosophy of Art Education with a thesis titled “Media arts and expressing the cultural identity of contemporary Egyptian society”.

In 2011 he was Executive Curator for the Egyptian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (Revolutionary Egyptian artist: Ahmed Basiony’s Art Project 30 Days of Running in Place).
