poetic subversions in urban space
– some tryouts
How
can the body become an agent of spatial inscriptions? How can the body be an archive of spatial practice? How does the body
perceive space? Why is space political?
We will experiment with different performative and choreographic strategies in order to read the urban space as a text for physical involvements.
wir werden im urbanen raum an poetischen unterbrechungen mit performativen und choreographischen strategien arbeiten und den raum/die stadt als eine art score für physische ableitungen lesen. der körper wird in unserem workshop verstanden als ort und kulturelles archiv der raumerfahrung; gleichzeitig öffnet er die möglichkeit für individuelle und kollektive praxen. in situ-choreografien entfalten sich als zeitliche aneignungen von öffentlichem raum, von nicht-orten, von urbanen und nicht genutzten räumen sowie symbolischen plätzen. diese choreographien unterbrechen die rhythmische komposition des urbanen gefüges. der einzelne körper wird dabei öffentlich, nimmt eine position ein, tritt so in erscheinung und zeigt sich gegenüber anderen. es ist eine urbane versuchsanordnungen, es ist eine schule des bewusstseins (für sich selbst, andere und den raum) und eröffnet eine grammatik von möglichkeiten der subversion normativer räumlich ausgetragener strukturen. eine soziale skulptur, die ihre konturen ändert und sie in frage stellt im konstruktiven zusammenspiel aller teilnehmer_innen.

„the rythmanalyst will not be obliged to jump from the inside to the outside of observed bodies; he should come to listen to them as a whole and unify them by taking his own rythms as a reference. by integrating the outside with the inside and vice versa.“
„for him nothing is immobile. (?) he thinks with his body, not in the abstract but in lived temporality. (?) he must arrive in the concrete through experience (?) the rythmanalyst will give an account of this relation between the present and presence: between their rythms. a dialectical relation: neither incompatibility, nor identity. neither exclusion nor inclusion. (?) the act of rythmanalysis transforms everything into presences, including the present, grasped and perceived as such. the act does not imprison itself in the ideology of the thing.“
